Slovenia is a country located near Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. On this trip I will be visiting all except Hungary, starting with Italy.
From Ljubljana to Trieste it is only 86km, so 1 hour by car or 2h20min by train. Unfortunately just a few direct trains, otherwise it is possible to get to Villa Opicina by train, and then by bus to Trieste, a trip that I did in December 2019. I've now reached Italy, the station - Bivio d'AurisinaBivio d'Aurisina - the station connecting Südbahn from Ljubljana and Vienna with Trieste-Udine/Venezia railway

Sailing Yacht A is a sailing yacht launched in 2015. The vessel is a sail-assisted motor yacht designed by Philippe Starck and built by Nobiskrug in Kiel, Germany for the Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko. The yacht was seized by the Italian authorities on 12 March 2022 in the port of Trieste, due to the EU's sanctions imposed on a number of Russian businessmen as a consequence of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Villa Opicina is located just 5km away from central Trieste, but the railway has to take a longer detour in order to climb up to 310m above sea level.
