Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille, Pas des Lanciers, L'Estaque

So, I'm returning from the north back to the south shortly.
In Sweden, the summer has not really been great this year
Better weather in Amsterdam

Even better weather in southern France, where I'm heading

Landing in Marseille
Today is a Sunday, so I'm not expecting to see many freight trains; on the other hand, this railway is now the only route to Italy since the landslide on the Frejus line last year.
Surprised to see a TGV train here on the conventional line, as there is a high speed line nearby
Marseille Provence Airport is the fifth busiest French airport in passenger traffic and the third largest in cargo traffic.

I'm at Pas des Lanciers station on the PLM line (Paris-Lyon-Marseille)
The line is operated by TER to Avignon/Montpellier, Intercity to Bordeaux, and TER to Lyon

Vossloh G2000 1803 from RDT13

So, here it is - the train that is supposed to take the route over Modane to Italy, is rerouted through Ventimiglia
SNCF Class BB 36000 "Astride" is only used on the line between France and Italy
E 436 333

Before arriving at L'Estaque station, there is another railway connecting - it is called Côte Bleue line from Miramas

Paul Cezanne painted this view from the station
Another Astride

Military planes also using the airport

Alstom Prima, 37044 on the way to Italy
37044 has country codes F and D, so another locomotive will take over in Ventimiglia

MetroCargo Italia from Miramas to Mortara (near Novara)

1803 is already back

Looks like the mountains are far away, or are they clouds...
The second election round is over in France, Le Pen party did not get its majority
