Today I'm lucky with the weather, and I continue my journey in Mälardalen region, I will visit Kungsör and Hällerforsnäs by train.
My first station is Årstaberg, from where I'm taking commuter train to Stockholm. Long distance trains are passing by here.X2

Kungsör has a rich royal history, Gustav Vasa and Drottning Kristina among others was visiting this place.

From Eskilstuna I'm taking another train to Hällerforsnäs
This time it is an X50 train, for so called UVEN line
Hällerforsnäs is located along the old TGOJ line from Grängesberg to Oxelösund.
The station building was demolished as late as 2011

Hällerforsnäs was famous for its foundry which began as a cannon workshop and later making radiators and stoves.
Today it has a cultural centre with museums, galleries and theatre.
Sörmlandsleden (a hiking trail) is passing here
