Today I'm taking a trip to the island of Terschelling, one of the West Frisian islands.
First I'm taking a train from Amsterdam Zuid to Zwolle, where I'm changing for a train to Leeuwarden, and at last another change to Harlingen where the harbour is.NS application is very convenient, you can view real time schedule, track numbers, and prices.
The information about each train is excellent, providing even a picture of the train.
Amsterdam Zuid station is strategically located nearby Zuidas business area. Here is Viñoly tower that was completed in 2005 and where Google Amsterdam has its offices among others.

Rederij Doeksen is the ferry company providing services to Terschelling and Vlieland islands. Here is a Noord Nederland cargo ferry.
Now I'm switching for a while from train photos to boat photos.
The route to Terschelling is a winding one. The trip takes about 2 hours.
The traffic is very heavy on this routeFast catamaran boat
